This last Friday, I jetted off to Las Vegas with Chanel for the opening of their exhibition Numéros Privés.
They hosted an incredible weekend of couture and cocktails at Wynn Las Vegas, flying about 200 people out there to experience their multiple-roomed Chanel world. Friday night started off with a cocktail reception followed by dinner and a performance by the amazing Imelda May.

Zooey Deschanel says her personal style always “seeps” into her onscreen characters.
The brunette beauty is currently starring in the TV series New Girl. The comedy show follows Jess, played by Zooey, a 20-something who moves into a loft with three male housemates after a messy break-up.
Zooey worked very closely with costume designer Debra McGuire to decide on Jess’ fashion. The actress says her character’s style choices are very reflective of her own.
“I would say yes. I think my own personal style always ends up seeping into characters that I play. I’ve always had a very distinct idea of fashion for myself, and what a character should wear,” she told Collider.com.

Earlier this year we featured the marriage proposal story of EB Bride, Kendall (from The Yes Girls Events). Her oh-so-romantic fiance planned the perfect proposal complete with a custom painting depicting their proposal, a self-made scrapbook of their life together, and a love note. . So, what did you think about the Golden Globes last night?
I thought that overall, we had mostly hits out of the ball park!

Best Supporting Actress Octavia Spencer for her role as Minny in The Help wore Tadashi Shojai a scene-stealer in a beautiful orchid-lavender dress. Prior to the awards show, Octavia mentioned that NOT ONE designer came to her to dress her and Tadashi dressed her for press tours to promote the Help and she wanted to show her appreciation. I bet finding a dress for the Oscars will be different for her!
